Here I am giving information related to research programs,current edition,membership,news and events of mahabharata bhandarkar oriental research institute.

The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune, was founded on July 6, 1917 in the honor of the work of Ramkrishna Gopal Bhandarakar, the foremost pioneer of scientific Orientology in India. A giant research project undertaken by the BORI( Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute). Edited by the likes of V. S. Sukhtankar, S. K. Belvalkar, S. K. De, Prof. Dr. R. N. Dandekar consulting 1,259 manuscripts.

Critical Edition of the Mahabharata:

April 1919 to September 1966; 18 Parvan - s; 89000+ verses in the Constituted Text and an elaborate Critical Apparatus; 19 Volumes: No. of pages: 15000+ demi-quarto size

Critical Edition of the Harivamsha:

1966 to 1969; 4 Parvan - s; 2 Volumes; No. of pages 1711 demi - quarto size

Critically constituted text of Mahabharata and Harivamsha

The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was established on July 6, 1917.
The institute is well known for its collection of old Sanskrit and Prakrit manuscripts.
