Eligibility for Admission

a) Qualification
One should have passed any one of the 3 years Diploma course in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu from an AICTE approved institution or its equivalent.


b) Year of passing Diploma
One should have passed the diploma examination in the relevant branch of specialisation at least 2 years before the last date prescribed for the registration of application.


c) Place of work
One should be working in a place within a distance of 120 km from the college to which he/she seeks admission so as to enable to attend the classes regularly by 6.15 p.m. and the place of working should be in Tamil Nadu.


d) Age limit
No age limit is prescribed for admission to B.E. (Part Time) degree course.


e) Employment
(i) One who is working professionals at the time of admission alone is eligible.
(ii) One should have a minimum of 2 years full time work experience after successfully completing the Diploma in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational / Government and Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought at the time of admission.


f) Mode of Study
The mode of Diploma study shall be Full Time or Lateral Entry or Part-Time. One studied in distance mode is not eligible.



Duration of the Programme
The duration of the programme is 3 1/2 Academic years comprising 7 semesters.
