Maharashtra B.Ed CET is the option for to pursue B.Ed courses in Maharashtra.

This test is led by the Directorate of Higher Education.

Admission procedure consists of a centralized admission process which is carried out on the basis of marks obtained in the common entrance exam and also on the general eligibility.

Eligibility:-

Students who have completed three year graduation/post graduation in any faculty from a recognized university or any course which Maharashtra Government has given equivalency with graduation are eligible to apply.

Students from universities outside Maharashtra belonging to all categories are required to secure a minimum 50% marks at their graduate or post graduate degree exam in order to be eligible for CET exam.

Students belonging to open category who have secured minimum 50% marks and those Student belonging to backward class (SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC) who have secured minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply.

Category Wise Reservation is as follows:-

• Scheduled tribe: 7%
• Scheduled caste and scheduled caste persons who have adopted Buddhism: 13%
•De-notified tribes (14 similar tribes) (VJ/DT): 3%
• Normadic tribes ( 28 tribes before January 1990 and similar tribes) (NT-1) B: 2.5%
• Normadic tribe (Vanjari and similar tribes) (NT-3)D : 2%
• Other backward classes: 19%
• Normadic tribe (Dhangar and similar tribes) (NT-2) C: 3.5%

Total: 50%

Distribution of Seats:

Distribution of Seats is as follows
1) 28 percent quota for universities in Maharashtra
2) 70 percent quota for home universities other than home universities
3) 02 percent quota for universities other than Maharashtra.

Exam Pattern:

Medium of CET: Medium of CET will be Marathi/English only.

The CET constitutes Mental Ability, Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge of 50 marks and will be of one hour duration of objective questions
