Hindu College, Delhi is a college under the affiliation of University of Delhi in Delhi, India founded in 1899. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Science, Humanities and Commerce. There are two modes of admission: Direct Admission: Admission to the first year of the following courses is made directly by the college. (Honours) in Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Mathematics / Statistics Admission through Faculties of Arts/Science/Commerce: Admission to the first year of the following courses is made through the respective faculties in the University of Delhi: B.A. (Honours) Music through Faculty of Arts M.A. through Faculty of Arts M.Sc. through Faculty of Science / Mathematical Science M. Com through Faculty of Commerce Candidates who are seeking admission to any of courses need to register with the respective department faculty. Then only those candidates will receive applications that have been registered by the concerned faculty. Qualifying Criteria for Admission: Candidates who meet the qualifying cut-off percentage for the respective courses of the college can apply in the university Candidate must carry the following documents: Provisional Certificate from the Principal of the School / College last attended. Certificate of Date of Birth Detailed Marks-Sheet (of Senior School Certificate, or equivalent examination) Two self-attested recent passport size photographs (of the candidate). The minimum eligibility requirements for admission to various Under-Graduate courses, of University of Delhi are as follows: Admission to B.A. Programme / B.Sc. Physical Sciences (Chemistry) and B.Sc.Physical Sciences (Electronics) : Minimum marks required for admission to B.A. Programme is 40% in the aggregate in any of the exams recognized by the University of Delhi. Minimum marks required for admission to B.Sc. Physical Sciences (Chemistry) and B.Sc. Physical Sciences (Electronics) Courses is 45% in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and passing in one compulsory language (i.e. English), in any of the exams recognized by the University of Delhi. Admission to B.A.(Hons.) /B.Com. (Hons.) : Minimum marks for admission to a B.A.(Hons.)/B.Com.(Hons.) course is 45% in the aggregate in any of the examinations recognized by the University of Delhi. In addition, candidates who have passed the Intermediate Exam of an Indian University/Board with minimum 40% marks in the aggregate and also one of the following exams is eligible for admission to the courses: (a) Prabhakar Examination for B.A. (Hons.) Hindi. (b) Shastri Examination for B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit Admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Courses Minimum marks required in any of the exams recognized by the University of Delhi are: 55% marks in the aggregate of three subjects including Physics, Chemistry and also (i) Biology (for admission to B. Sc. (Hons.) Botany/Zoology); and (ii) Mathematics (for admission to B. Sc. (Hons.) Physics/Chemistry) and passing in one compulsory language (i.e. English). 50% marks in Mathematics and 45% marks in the aggregate of one language and three best elective subjects (out of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Engineering Drawing, Geography, Computer Science, Economics and Home Science) - for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) course in Mathematics. 50% marks in Mathematics and 45% marks in the aggregate, for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics.
