Chef College Years

Can anyone tell me how much time it take to become a professional chef? How long is the training period or the programs?

I would like to tell you that the information what you want to get about the duration totally depends on the program which you opt. like there are several programs which you can to become a professional chef; taking from diploma courses, certificates top degree programs of 3 to 4years.

For instance, here I am giving the information about the chef program offered by Loyalist College:

Chef’s Knives: $300 – $400

Admission Requirements

(a) Required academic preparation –
OSSD/OSSGD or equivalent with courses at the general, advanced, (C), (U) or (M) level, and
Grade 12 English (C) level or equivalent

OR

Mature applicant

Recommended academic preparation –
Grade 12 mathematics

(b) Advanced standing –
OYAP Cook Level 1 graduates with an overall B average are eligible for direct entry to Semester Two.
