Hello! I would like to tell you that the information what you want to get about the duration totally depends on the program which you opt. like there are several programs which you can to become a professional chef; taking from diploma courses, certificates top degree programs of 3 to 4years. For instance, here I am giving the information about the chef program offered by Loyalist College: CHEF - Culinary Skills - Chef Training CULM - Culinary Management Program Entry SEPTEMBER Program Length Culinary Skills – Chef Training: One-Year Ontario College Certificate Culinary Management: Two-Year Ontario College Diploma Approximate Cost- Domestic Tuition/Ancillary Fees: $3,659 (two semesters) Consumables Fee: $315 Books and Supplies: $500 – $600 Lab Fee: to be confirmed Uniforms: $200 Chef’s Knives: $300 – $400 Optional Field Trips: $600 – $3,000 Admission Requirements (a) Required academic preparation – OSSD/OSSGD or equivalent with courses at the general, advanced, (C), (U) or (M) level, and Grade 12 English (C) level or equivalent OR Mature applicant Recommended academic preparation – Grade 12 mathematics (b) Advanced standing – OYAP Cook Level 1 graduates with an overall B average are eligible for direct entry to Semester Two.
