USMA or United States Military Academy at West Point takes only those candidates as students who don’t only have excellent grades but also have excellent character and are fit physically. Various departments at the academy are given below: Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Chemistry and Life Science Civil and Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering and Computer Science English and Philosophy Foreign Languages Geography and Environmental Engineering History Law Mathematical Sciences Physics and Nuclear Engineering Social Sciences Systems Engineering Various eligibility requirements for the candidates appearing the USMA at West Point are given below: Candidate must be at least 17 but not yet 23 years of age (i.e. if he is applying for the Class of 2017 then his Date-of-Birth (DOB) must not be after 6/30/1996) Candidate must not be married Candidate must not be pregnant or have a legal obligation to support a child Candidate must be a U.S. citizen (exception: see International Admissions) If the candidate is eligible, then he must fill out and submit the initial screening application, which is also called the Candidate Questionnaire. Then, if the candidate is approved to proceed, he must receive access to his online Candidate Kit which contains additional forms and instructions for completing his application.
