Maulana Azad National Urdu University established at National Level in 1998, as a Central University. Shortly this university is known as MANUU. The DDE program of the university are recognized by the J&K Govt. this university offers following types of the DDE programs:

The Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a Central University which was established by an Act of Parliament in 1998 with an All-India jurisdiction.

All Courses of the University are recognized by Distance Education Board (DEB) of University Grants Commission (UGC)

It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
