Eligibility Criteria for CDS Exam:-

Education Qualification –

For Air Force Academy:
Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering

For Indian Military Academy / Officers' Training Academy:
Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

For Naval Academy:
B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering

Age Limit--
Naval Academy 19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years (not before 2 June)
Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-23 years

Other Eligibility --
-- You must be an Indian.
-- No color blindness.
-- Minimum height is 157.6 cms
-- Eye sight is 6/6.

Written Pattern for IMA, Naval academy and AFA
I English 2 hours 100
II General Knowledge 2 hours 100
III Elementary Mathematics 2 hours 100
Total 300

Written Pattern for OTA
I English 2 hours 100
II General Knowledge 2 hours 100
Total 200

Selected candidates will go for training in one of the following Institutes.
Air Force Academy, Begumpet, Hyderabad
Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai
Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehra Dun
Naval Academy, Goa

CDS Tentative Dates
Notification Date: 2 November, 2013
Last Date to Apply: 2 December, 2013
CDS Exam Date: 9 February, 2014 (Sunday)

To apply in the Indian Army the applicant must have completed 12th. Then you have to clear the National Defence Academy examination conducted by the Union public service commission twice in a year.

NDA Eligibility:
The applicant must have completed 12th standard with science.

Age limit
Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years old. The candidate should be unmarried and the Indian citizen……..

Indian Army

Physical requirements:
Better eye is 6/6 and worst eye is 6/9 with or without glass
Running: - 2.4 Km in 15 minutes
Push ups: - 13 nos
Sits ups: - 25 nos
Chin ups: - 6 nos
Rope - Climbing: - 3-4 meters.

You can also join through the Combined Defence Service after completing your graduation. The age limit for the CDS examination is:

Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years
Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years
Indian naval Academy - 19 to 22 years
Indian Officer's Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

How to become an Air Force Officer after 12th, which is the eligibility criteria, will you please provide here?

On the basis of qualifying 10+2, you would be eligible to appear in National Defence Academy Examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

The applicant must have passed 12th standard.

The applicants age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years only.

The must be Male candidate and must be unmarried.

Selection procedure:
The selection is based on following:

Written Examination
Medical Test
Interview Test

After clearing written test, interview and physical tests, then only you are selected in to the Indian army.
