Hello sir I have complete my M.tech now want to take admission in IIT Ropar Phd course, can you tell me when Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar invite application form for Phd course admission in 2012? Does Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar conduct any entrance exam for PhD admission?

The IIT Ropar does not take Entrance test but it has some Eligibility criteria for the Admission in the field of Engineering.

School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering (SMMEE)
Eligibility Criteria:. Candidates must have 60% marks (or 6.5 Grade Point out of 10) in their Master's.

Areas of Research:
Design & Analysis (DA) Group: biomechanics, biomedical design, computational biology, Nano and Bio Material Characterization, Computational and experimental studies on Nano and Bio materials, Noise and Vibration control, Fault diagnosis and condition monitoring, computational mechanics, design optimization, hybrid optimization, evolutionary robotics, sustainable design, product design, design research, engineering creativity, applied mechanics, numerical methods, optimal control, and engineering applications of fractional order calculus.
Manufacturing & Materials (MM) Group: sustainable manufacturing, product realization, analysis of metal forming processes, and development of new forming techniques, Composite Materials.

Electrical Engineering
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates having degree of M.Tech,M.E.,M.S. in Electrical engineering with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) are eligible to apply.

Renewable Energy Systems, Power Network and Optimal Power Flows, Wind Energy Resource Assessment
Signal Processing, Medical Image Processing
Nano-Photonics and Nano-Optics

Computer Science and Engineering
Eligibility Criteria: candidate should have 60% marks of Master degree.
Valid GATE score
MCA degree will be preferred.
Areas of Research:
Candidates have opportunity for the multi-disciplinary research in systems and theory.
