Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced the notification for UGC NET 2013 Entrance Exam for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship. Eligibility : You have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC. If you have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited can apply. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 199 are eligible to apply here. Important dates : i) Last date for Applying Online & generation of filled Bank Challan for Fee. 03.05.2013 ii) Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank Challan, at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). 06.05.2013 iii) Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from UGC website (www.ugcnetonline.in) 09.05.2013 iv Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s) ) 13.05.2013 Scheme And Date Of Test For Morning Session: S.No. Subject Total Marks Timings Time Duration 1 Life Science 200 9.00AM-12.00 Noon 3 hours 2 Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Science 3 Physical Science For Afternoon Session: S.No. Subject Total Marks Timings Time Duration 1 Chemical Science 200 2.00 PM-5.00 PM 3 hours 2 Mathematical Science 3 Engineering Science

From 2014 the NET (National Eligibility Test) Exam is conducted by The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Eligibility: Must have Master's Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved category) from recognized university Candidates appearing in the final year of Master's degree exam can also apply for this test Age limit: (i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years (ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.
