The Dates of the registration was held in the Month of January and February TANCET Exam Dates for 2012 are: MBA & MCA: 31st March, 2012. MBA timing 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. MCA timing 2.30 P.M. to 4.30 P.M. ME / MArch / MTech / MPlan 1st April, 2012 Timings are 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. The TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is the entrance examination conducted by the Anna University for admission to Master's degree programs such as: MBA MCA M.E./ M.Tech M. Tech M. Arch M. Plan. TANCET Eligibility Criteria MBA: The candidate should have graduate in any discipline under the 10+2+3/4 pattern or pass in any degree with 10+3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern. MCA: The candidate should have completed graduation in any field with mathematics as a subject of study at 10+2 level. The candidates, who have studied Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s level, are also eligible. M.E. /M. Tech/M. Arch. /M. The examination pattern is different for different programs. MCA The entrance examination tests the applicant’s knowledge in four sections- Quantitative ability, Analytical reasoning, Logical reasoning, and Computer awareness Questions related to basic science and verbal activity could also be expected. M.E/M. Tech The exam usually includes questions from Mathematics, Basic engineering and Science and area the aspirant desires to specialize in. MBA The entrance exam includes fives sections: Testing the applicant’s English (Grammar, Punctuation etc), Data interpretation, Mathematics, Comprehension skills MBA/MCA The question paper consists of 100 multiple-choice objective questions. 4 options will be there for every question, the candidates are required to mark the single correct answer with HB pencil or ball point pen of blue or black ink only. Every correct answer will fetch the applicant with one mark and one-fourth of the total marks allotted for a question will be deducted for every wrong answer. The total duration of entrance examination will be of 2 hours.
