The candidates should have cleared Master’s degree or substitute examinations with at least 55 % marks, from a recognized University to appear for West Bengal SLET exam. The application forms can be downloaded from the official website and have to send the duly filled form at the official address. Examination Pattern: Pattern is divided into three papers. And the paper contains objective questions on Teaching and Research Aptitude, logical reasoning, Basic English and mathematics, general knowledge and the like. Syllabus: English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Commerce, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Education, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, Mass communication & Journalism, Library Science, Anthropology, Physical Education. |

West Bengal College Service Commission conducts West Bengal SET (State Eligibility Test), here are details: Eligibility: The applicant should have Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates). OR An equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3-year Bachelor’s degree from an Indian University /institution recognized by UGC or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. Candidates pursuing Post Graduate courses are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their Post Graduate degree with 55% or 50% marks. Exam pattern Exam pattern is constructed into 3 papers. First paper is a general paper that offers general knowledge questions, logical aptitudes, teaching and research aptitudes, elementary English, basic functional mathematics etc. Paper I is common for all subjects and you will have to clear West Bengal SET paper one to be eligible for further evaluation. West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET) Paper II comprises of several objective type questions on the examined subject. WB SET 3rd paper questions are descriptive ones on the subject concerned. Tentative dates: Notification: September 2014 Last date: November 2014 Test: February 2015 So you can not get application form right now.
