Sir,
I am student of civil engg.(DIPLOMA) final year. Can I apply the application form for the post of JE. exam-2012

For Junior Engineer Exam you need diploma in Civil Engineer but you are in Pursuing final year so you have to wait until your civil engineering diploma is complete. After completion of civil engineer diploma, you can apply for Junior Engineer exam.

Here I am giving you information about junior engineer recruitment offer by staff selection commission below :

SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Details
You have to passed Graduation in the Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering OR
Civil/ Structural Engineering from any well recognized college.

Age Criteria:
The age of the applying candidate should be around 18 years to 32yrs.

Candidates will be selected on basis of their Written Marks (Paper 1 and Paper 2) and Personal Interview.

Paper Pattern of SSC Junior Engineering Exam:
Paper 1 (Objective Type): It consists of the following sections carrying 200 Marks total.
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning
2. General Awareness
3. Electrical Engineering
OR
Mechanical Engineering
OR
Civil/ Structural Engineering.

Paper 2 (Conventional Type):
In paper 2nd paper you will get questions from Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering OR Civil/ Structural Engineering carrying total of 300 Marks.

Personal Interview round carrying total of 100 Marks

Syllabus of SSC Junior Engineer Exam
General Intelligence & Reasoning: Venn Diagram, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Visual reasoning , Statements and Assumptions, Assertion and Reasons ,Identifying Strong Arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and Conclusions, Cause and Effect, Probably False, Definitely True, Identifying Probably True, Definitely False kind of statement, Matrix arrangements, Puzzles, Critical Reasoning Syllogisms, Functions, Linear arrangements Family tree - identifying relationship among group of people, Coding and decoding , Sequencing , Symbol Based problems, Identifying next number in series, Column Graphs, Line Charts, Bar Graphs, Pie Chart, Graphs representing Area, Identifying valid Inferences Etc.

General Awareness: Books and authors World Records, Famous Award and Prizes,
Automobiles, Science, History, International Organizations, Geography, Important quotations, Social issues, Major Corporate Events, Politics Sports, Finance, Entertainment, Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of Companies, Top officials of Big Companies Etc.

2. General Engineering (Civil and Structural)
Civil Engineering:
Building Materials, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Concrete Technology, RCC Design (RCC beams), Steel Design

3. General Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical)
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering
Candidates are required to do detailed study of each section included in the aforementioned topics.
