When do MBA admissions start

I want to know when MBA admissions start.

Applications for MBA generally release in month of July. For apply in MBA program you must appear for GMAT exam first. This exam is held in month of July most probably. And there is one more thing is important about GMAT is that it is administered year-round and on demand at test centres also.

But it is necessary to schedule your GMAT exam early enough to allow your scores to be reported before the schools’ application deadline.

Here are some easy steps to get synchronized with the MBA admission scheduling:

In March, start your GMAT preparation as if you get late or start afterward there is possibility that you will find yourself juggling many aspects of application process.

In April, continue to Visit Target Schools/Contemplate School Choices/Meet with Alumni and Current Students.

In May, Identify Recommenders/Reconnect with Previous Supervisors. One of the most frustrating parts of the application process for candidates is connecting with and motivating recommenders. So take your time to do this now.

In June¸ take the GMAT and then prepare your resume according to your latest position and interests.

In July, take GMAT again if necessary and then conduct informational interviews/job-shadow. Virtually every MBA program requires that candidates write an essay on short- and long-term career goals but many candidates have trouble honestly articulating their post-MBA goals. So candidates should be able to differentiate themselves on the basis their experiences and the sincerity of their voices within their essays.

Define your List of Target Schools and start writing essays.

In August, Complete Additional Coursework, Meet with Recommenders, Continue Drafting and Redrafting Essays and Complete the Short Answer Portion of the Applications.

From September, just follow up the admission procedures and walk in interviews’ rounds.
