The Institute of English is affiliated to University of Kerala. In the year of 1962, the Institute of English was established. In the beginning it was started as a programme for improving existing standards of teaching of English in schools and colleges. The institute was established to improve the standard of English in our society.

Institute of English is a part of University of Kerala. The Institute of English was established as a program for improving existing standards of teaching of English in schools and colleges.
