Indian Institutes of Technology conducts entrance exam name Joint Admission test for admission to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programmes at the IITs. You want to know IIT JAM first admission list publishing date so it will publish on 31st May, 2013, Friday. Here I am giving you all important dates of IIT JAM:

Issue of OMR application forms and information brochures at Canara Bank counters: 20th September, 2012, Thursday

Commencement of online registration: 20th September, 2012, Thursday

Last date for issue of OMR application forms: 20th October, 2012, Saturday

Last date for online registration: 23rd October, 2012, Tuesday, 1800 hours

Last date for receipt of completed OMR application form along with pay-in-slip and demand draft: 30th October, 2012, Tuesday

Last date for receipt of completed online registration form along with demand draft: 30th October, 2012, Tuesday

Date of JAM-2013 test: 10th February, 2013, Sunday

Announcement of the results of JAM-2013: 10th April, 2012, Wednesday, 1700 hours

Issue of application forms for admission: 12th-19th April, 2013

Last date for receipt of completed application forms: 30th April, 2013, Tuesday

Declaration of first admission list: 31st May, 2013, Friday

Declaration of second admission list: 24th June, 2013, Monday

JAM is Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. JAM is an admission exam to Master of Science (M.Sc.) and other post-graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes.

The following are the courses for which admission is awarded through this examination:

Full-time M.Sc. (two-year),
Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D.,
M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree,
M.Sc.-M.Tech., and
other post-bachelor's degree programs at different IITs, and Integrated Ph.D.

JAM Examination is conducted in ONLINE mode and held in English only. There is 7 Papers (objective questions) in JAM exam.

Mathematics (MA)
Mathematical Statistics (MS)
Physics (PH)

The Papers are divided into three sections A, B, C.

Section A include 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ),

Section B include 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and

Section C include 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

The duration of exam is 3 hrs.
