The IIT Kanpur is inviting the application form for admission in MBA for academic year 2012. For applying for this program, you have to clear CAT exam conducted by IIMs and Group Discussion/Personal Interaction (GD/PI)

The application forms for this program will be available online. The advertisement for admission in MBA will be published in major newspapers in the last week of November. The cost of the application form will be approx Rs. 1500 for the General and OBC candidates, Rs. 750 for those belonging to SC/ST and Physically Handicapped categories. Girl applicants need not to pay for application form.

For applying for MBA program at the institute the eligibility criteria is as follows:
For General and OBC Candidates:

Candidates must have done B. Tech, B. Sc Engineering, B.E or B. Arch (Mathematics in Class XII) with aggregate of 65% and must have 65% or above in Class X and Class XII examinations besides this they must have got 85 percentile and above in CAT 2011.

SC and ST Candidates:

Candidates must have done B. Tech, B. Sc Engineering, B.E or B. Arch (Mathematics in Class XII) with aggregate of 55% and must have 55% or above in Class X and Class XII examinations besides this they must have got 75 percentile and above in CAT 2011.

What eligibility is needed for applying for the MBA program at IIT Kanpur? Is there any relaxation in eligibility criteria is provided by the institute to the reserved category students? I want to know because I am a ST student and want to do MBA from the institute.
