Silchar College of Education (SCE) located at - Cachar Assam is one of the best colleges in India.

B.Ed Course details:

B.Ed. (Secondary) Course of two years duration

The intake capacity in the College is 100 (one hundred). There will be four semester of six months each.

There will be five papers in the first semester consists of 100 marks each. Similarly there shall be five papers in Second semester consisting of 100 marks each.

Total marks of two semesters would be 1000.

Eligibility criteria for admission

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's degree or any other Degree equivalent are eligible for admission to the programme. This clause may be modified as per instruction of UGC/NCTE from time to time.

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST & OBC students.

The admission criteria shall be implemented as per approval of Executive Council of Assam University from time to time and on instruction of UGC and NCTE.

Admission shall be made on merit & on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the Entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT Administration and the University.
