Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to various subordinate services Eligibility Age: You age must lie between 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc., 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of person Educational Qualification: You should have Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. Plan of Examination: The exam is held in two phases. The first phase of the exam is called the Preliminary Examination. The Second phase of the exam is called the Mains Examination. Combined Graduate Level Preliminary Examination Syllabus General Intelligence and Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc. General Awareness: Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.
