University of Tennessee, Knoxville is a public sun-grant and land-grant university, founded in 1794 Initial Post-baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program The Post-baccalaureate program is a professional teacher education program designed to provide an opportunity for post-baccalaureate students to prepare for careers in teaching Admission Process for the Post-baccalaureate Program - You must submit a Post-Baccalaureate Curriculum Review Request, with appropriate documentation, to the Office of Teacher Licensure -A Teacher Licensure advisor will conduct a course-by-course transcript evaluation to determine the eligibility of the applicant. -A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70 on a scale of 4.0 is required for admission to the program. - You must also have a minimum 2.50 GPA in the teaching/subject area. -All course work, undergraduate and graduate, is taken into consideration when determining the GPA. - You must submit a formal application to the Teacher Education Program. - Must have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70, on a scale of 4.0 must be established. In addition, a content/subject area GPA of 2.50 must be met.
