State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, Himachal Pradesh was launched at Shimla through Government of Himachal Pradesh on 3rd Jan 1986 under the nationwide programmer of the DST, Government of India to encourage Science & Technology in the State. It is the primary agency for the publicity of Science & Technology and foundation of Environment Awareness in the State. It aims are encourage, vulgarize & disseminate Scientific & Technological Innovations and found linkages with Universities, R & D Institutions. The Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment, is the nodal agency for the promotion of Science & Technology and creation of Environment Awareness in the State. The Council was established at Shimla by Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on January 3, 1986 under the country wide programme of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India to promote Science & Technology in the State.
