I am providing you eligibility and exam pattern of SSC Section Officer recruitment:

Age Limit for Section Officer (Audit) Examination
Aget Limit is 18-25 years. Age relaxation for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Departmental Candidates.

Educational Qualification:
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks.

Exam Pattern:
I - Written Exam
The subjects of examination, the time allowed and maximum marks for each subject will be as follows:

Paper I
Part A: English Language (Objective type) - 100 Marks
Part B: General Awareness - 100 Marks

Paper II
Arithmetic (Conventional type) - 100 Marks

Both the papers are conducted for 2 hrs each.

Paper - I will consist of objective type questions only.

The question papers (Test Booklets) for part B of paper (Gen. Awareness) and Paper-II (Arithmetic) will be set both in English and Hindi.


II - Interview
The written examination is followed by an Interview (100 Marks).

The interview is held at the Commission's regional offices.

I was appointed as Assistant (Adhoc) in 2005 and put in 4 yrs service then I was regularized by the department without any break in service. Now I have completed 8 yrs of continuous service. Whether I am eligible to appear for the section officers promotional exams or not. please clarify

Section Officer (Audit) Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Eligibility for SSC Section Officer (Audit) Exam—
-You need to pass Section Officer (Audit) Exam
-You should be Graduates with 50% marks
- Your Age should be in the age group of 18 -25 years.
-The reserved category candidates are given age relaxation.
-Departmental candidates are also given age relaxation as per the rules.
-Candidates seeking age relaxation should attach a copy of the relevant documents along with the application from and the original should be submitted for verification at the time of Interview.

Exam Pattern of Section Officer (Audit) Examination


-The exam pattern for Section Officer (Audit) Examination is divided into two stages: written test and interview.
-Written examination is of objective type and the questions from general awareness, English and numerical ability is included.
-There will be 300 questions and the time allotted to answer these questions is 2 hours.
- One can choose English or Hindi medium as per convenience.
- Candidates who clear the written test are called for interview and the total score of the interview is for 100 marks.

SSC Section Officer Audit Exam Syllabus

Paper-I:

Part-A (English Language): Question in this test will be based on error recognition, fill in the blanks(using verbs, prepositions, articles, etc.) vocabulary, spell in sequence of sentence in a paragraph, sequence of words in a sentence, close passage and comprehension passage etc. Synonyms and antonyms will be asked in the context of the given passage. The standard of questions will be only of the 10+2 level.

Part-B (General Awareness): Question in this test will aim at measuring knowledge of current events besides knowledge of General Science/Social Science and their application to the society.

This test will also include questions on sports, culture, history, geography, general polity etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Paper-II:

Arithmetic: This test will be include questions on problems relating to percentages, ratio and proportions, average estimation, use of table and graphs, menstruation, time and distance, ratio and time etc.
