IUCAA (Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics) - NCRA (National Centre for Radio Astrophysics) Admission Test conducted by the NCRA-TIFR for research scholarship in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and instrumentation

Eligibility:
- You should have passed M.Sc. (in Physics/ Electronics/ Astronomy/ Applied Mathematics) or B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech. degree (any branch) by August 2014. -In addition, talented final year B.Sc., 1st year M.Sc. (in Physics/ Electronics/ Astronomy/ Applied Mathematics) and 2nd/ 3rd year B.E./ B.Tech. (any branch) students may also apply to be PRE-SELECTED for research scholarship (to do Ph.D.) at either of the following institutes:

Selection Procedure:
Selection to research scholarship is through a written test and two interviews on both to be held in Pune.

Written Test:
-The test will be of 2 hours duration.
-The question paper will contain 3 sections
Section A in Basic Mathematics, and Basic Physics;
Section B in Advanced Physics; and
Section C in Electronics
-Each section will contain 15 objective type questions, with multiple answers, in which one of the answers will be correct.
-The candidates have to mark the correct answer.
-Candidates are expected to answer about 30 questions.
-For a right answer, there will be +3 (plus three) marks, and for a wrong answer, there will be -1 (minus one) mark.
