The duration of this examination is 4 hours which consists of two papers of 2 hours each. You were enquiring about the address on which the filled up application forms are to be posted. Please let me know that in which state you are. Because the address for the filled up applications differs from state to state. The Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment which are given below positions: -- Inspectors of Central Excise & Customs -- Inspectors of Income Tax -- Preventive Officers in Customs -- Examiner in Customs -- Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police & CBI -- Sub-Inspectors in BSF, CRPF, ITBP and CISF -- Divisional Accountant, Jr. Accountant, Auditor & UDCs in various offices of Government of India -- Assistants in Ministries/Departments, Attached and Subordinate office of the Government of India Eligibility: Age: The interested candidates age should in between 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI \ The age is 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc, The age is 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination. Qualification: The candidate should have degree of a recognized University or equivalent. Application: The SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination once a year for selection of candidates for the main Examination. The candidates declared by the commission to have qualified for admission to the Main Examination on the basis of this combined preliminary examination will have to apply again with requisite fees in the prescribed application form which will be send to such qualified candidates by the specific regional offices of the commission. The Blank application forms and other particulars are published in the 'Employment News'. How to apply: The application either by Registered Post/Speed Post/UPC must be submitted at the address shown in column given infront of the selection centre selected by the candidate from the list of centres given in the Notification. Application format must be neatly typed on white paper in double space and typed on only one side of the paper. Selection Centres: ![]() Exam Pattern: The Preliminary Examination of Combined Graduate Examination comprises of written paper which comprises the following pattern. Part A General Intelligence & General Awareness - 100 Questions - For 100 Marks - conducted in 2 Hrs. Part B Arithmetic - 100 Questions - For 100 Marks - conducted in 2 Hrs. Note: Both parts A & B will be of objective type (multiple Choice types). Question Papers (Test Booklets) for both the parts in Preliminary Exam will be set both in English and Hindi. Syllabus: The syllabus of the SSC CGPE is as given below: Part A: A) General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non verbal type. This component will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. B) General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.
