I want to apply for B .A. LL.B. (Hons.) course at NLSIU so please tell me what are the eligibilities needed for applying for this course? What is the duration of this course? When will the institute start distributing application forms admission in this course?

National Law School of India University ( NLSIU ) Bangalore is the first Indian Law University established by a statute passed by Karnataka Legislature in 1986 and is sponsored by the Bar Council of India

Admission to the B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.) Degree Programme is purely on merit as assessed through a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by the CLAT Committee constituted for the purpose

CLAT 2014 Exam Date : 11th May, 2014 ( Sunday ). 3.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.

NLIU B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Eligibility
-You should have passed the class 12th examination in the 10+2 scheme or its equivalent in Science, Arts, Commerce or any other discipline
-You should have secured in the aggregate with minimum 50% of the total marks in the grand total of all papers except additional papers, in the said examination. -However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST or OBC category, the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility shall be 45% of the total marks
- You must not have attained 20 years of age as on 1 Week of July.
-Relaxation of Two years is permitted for candidates belonging to SC / ST and OBC categories.

The sections are:
English
General Knowledge
Mathematics
Logical Reasoning
Legal Aptitude

English: This area will test the students on the knowledge of English along with the reading comprehension.

General Knowledge: This will include only the current affairs

Mathematics: This section will include only elementary mathematics that is Maths till Xth standard.

Logical Reasoning: This section will test the candidates on how to identify the patterns, Logical links and how to rectify the illogical arguments

Legal Aptitude: This section will test the candidate’s legal knowledge. Questions will be like it will be given some facts and candidate will have to decide on the basis of those facts.
