The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) was based on 1962 and it is located in Ludhiana, Punjab is one of the State Agricultural Universities in India. It has the country's most previous agricultural university in India, later on Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. The University has well-equipped research laboratory, program library and lecture rooms and elaborate farm facilities. Now the University, through twenty-eight departments in the 4 constituent colleges, provides thirty-one Master's and thirty Ph.D. programmes. Syllabus
Here is the syllabus of the entrance examination:

Computer Basics: Organization of a Computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of Instructions
in CPU, Input/output devices, Computer Memory, Memory organization, backup
devices.
Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal
representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, floating point representation
of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra: truth tables, Venn diagrams.
Computer Architecture: Block structure of Computers, communications between processor and I/O
devices, Interrupts.
Computer Language and Operating Systems: Flowcharts and algorithms, Concepts of low level and
high level Languages, Computer Programming in C (data types, loop and control statements, functions),
Fundamentals of operating systems: multiprogramming, multitasking and time sharing systems.
