The Union Public
Service Commission will hold a Written
Examination on 11th November, 2012 for
recruitment of Assistant Commandants
(Group A) in the Central Armed Police
Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force
(BSF), Central Reserve Police Force
(CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force
(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The
Examination will be held in accordance
with the Rules for the Examination
published by Ministry of Home Affairs in
the Gazette of India dated 28th July, 2012.
The date of holding the examination as
mentioned above is liable to be changed
at the discretion of the Commission.

Central Police Forces Assistant Commandant Examination or CPF AC examination is a common examination conducted Union Public Service Commission at national level for recruitment of Assistant commandant in Central Police Force (CPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB)


Eligibility criteria:
You would have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.

Age limit:

You age will be 20-25 years as on August 1, 2012.

It contains two papers

Paper 1 Objective General Ability and Intelligence
Paper 2 Descriptive GS related Essay,

Comprehension
English Grammar

Eligibility:

Age - limits:
Your Age must be around 20-25 years as on 1st August of the year of examination.

Educational Qualification
-You must hold any Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
-Candidates appearing in the degree exam are also allowed to appear in this exam but they are required to submit proof of passing along with the Detailed Application Forms which has to be submitted after qualifying the written test, medical standards test and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
-Both Males and Females are eligible for CISF and CRPF.
- Only Male candidates are eligible for SSB, BSF and ITBP

Scheme of Examination

Written Examination

PAPER-I General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type) 250 Marks
PAPER-II Essay, Precise writing and comprehension (Conventional Type) 150 Marks

Physical and Medical Standards Test

Candidates who will qualify written test have to undergo for Physical and medical standards test.

Male: 16 sec
Female: 18 sec

800 mts race
Male: 3 min and 45 sec
Female: 4 min and 45 sec

Long Jump
Male: 3.5 mts
Female: 3 mts

Shot Put (7.26 Kgs)
Male: 4.5 mts
