When will Vijaya Bank issue recruitment advertisement for the post of PO in the upcoming year? What is the paper pattern of this exam? Which books will you suggest me for preparation of this exam?

The Vijaya Bank was established by Shri. Attavara Balakrishna Shetty on October 23, 1931.
The objective of the Vijaya Bank was to promote banking habits, thrift and entrepreneurship among the farming community of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka State.
The bank became a scheduled bank in 1958. Vijaya Bank steadily grew into a large All India bank, with nine smaller banks merging with it during 1963-68.
The bank was nationalized on April 15, 1980.

The Vijaya Bank Probationary officers detailed description is as given below:
Vijaya Bank PO Exam:

Eligibility:

Nationality:
The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age limit:
Minimum age should be 20 years and maximum age is of 30 years. Age is relaxable for the reserved candidates as per the rules.

Educational Qualification:
The candidate should have degrees obtained from the Universities/Institutes recognized by the Govt of India only will be considered.

The candidates possessing minimum Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS) in the Common Written Examination for Probationary Officers conducted by IBPS should only apply.

IBPS Score Requirements:
For Unreserved (UR/General Category) candidates the IBPS TWS Score is 138 & above and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates is 113 & above.


Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure or steps for Vijaya Bank PO are as given below:

IBPS PO Common Written Exam:
The common written exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking personnel section (IBPS) every year which is accepted by 19 Public Sector Banks for recruiting Probationary Officers.
The qualified candidates will be issued a score card and it is valid for one year from the date of issuing.

Group Discussion and/Interview:
Depending on the number of vacancies, the bank reserves the right to call only those candidates who have sufficiently high score in the common written exam for Group Discussion and/Interview.

Group Discussion:
The group discussion is based on the Communication skills, Analytical skills, personality traits etc will be assessed through Group Discussion.
Maximum Marks will be 50.
Candidates should secure a minimum of 40% (35% for reserved category candidates) i.e. Minimum 20 (17.5 for reserved category candidates) marks in the Group Discussion to be merit listed.

Interview Marks:
The maximum marks for interview shall be 100 with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% in case of Reserved Category candidates, as per GOI guidelines.)

Final Selection:
The selection to the post of Probationary Assistant Manager is entirely based on the total weighted score obtained in the common written exam and the marks obtained in Group Discussion and/Interview.


Applying procedure:
The interested candidates can apply online only.
The fee is Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD and Rs.200 for Others

The fee to be paid at any branch of Vijaya Bank by this Payment Challan

Carefully note and verify the payment details as they will be used in applying online.

The details are correct for filling online application form.

The Keep Payment challan Receipt and 2 Application print outs for future reference as these may be used (if called for GD/Interview).

The written test will consist of an objective test.

Objective Test:
It has 300 Marks with 250 Questions.
-- Test Of Reasoning Ability: 100 questions carrying 175 marks
-- Test of Quantitative/ Numerical Aptitude: 50 questions carrying 75 marks
-- Test of General Awareness: 50 questions carrying 25 marks
-- Test of English Language: 50 questions carrying 25 marks

Total:
4 Papers (250 questions carrying 300 marks)

Duration of time:
300 marks for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minute


Syllabus:

The detailed syllabus of the Vijaya Bank PO exam is as follows:

Test of Reasoning:
This test would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc.

The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

Test of English Language:
This is a test to see how well you know English. English language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of a passage, etc.

Test of Numerical Ability:
Questions will be designed to test the ability of arithmetical computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationship between numbers. The questions would be based on arithmetical concepts and relationship between numbers and not on complicated arithmetical computations.

Test of General Knowledge and General Awareness:
The questions in this section will be set to test the candidate's general awareness about the event happing around him.

Part B:
Syllabus for the subjective exam

It intends to measure your higher order cognitive abilities.

Important note:
The candidates have to clear each of the Objective and Descriptive Bank PO Exam Question Papers separately. It is a question paper-cum-answer sheet in Hindi and English and the Regional Language and you have to restrict your answers to the space provided on the answer-sheet. Use of supplements is not allowed.

Hello sir I heard that Vijaya Bank has published requirement notification for Specialist Officers in this year, is it true? If so then what is the last date for apply for this post? I have complete my graduation with 52% and I belong to SC can I qualified for this requirement examination?

Here is paper pattern of PO recruitment exam of Vijaya Bank:

The written test will consist of an objective test .

Vijaya Bank recruits candidates for the post of PO (Probationary Officers). If the bank will issue recruitment notice in 2013, the key dates can be as follows:

Opening date for online registration/ payment of application fee: 2nd week of May 2013
Closing date for payment of application fee: last week of May 2013
Closing date for online registration: 1st week of June 2013
Last date for Reprint of application form: 1st week of June 2013


Eligibility:
Candidates must have done any degree from any recognized University or equivalent. Apart from this, candidates must have valid score card of the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS.


How to Apply:
Candidates have to apply online from the website of the bank vijayabank.com/

Application Fee: Fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs 200 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates is Rs 50.


Selection procedure:
