SAT exam is conducted for the admission in U.S. It provides a yardstick for colleges to compare students for admission at their various programs. Exam pattern SAT is of two types. SAT Reasoning Test SAT subjects test Syllabus SAT Reasoning Test Writing: This section involves an essay and multiple choice questions to test a candidate’s hold over grammar and usage. Improving sentences: structure and approach, Subject and verb agreement, Noun agreement and parallelism Usage of pronouns, Incorrect comparisons, Conjunctions, Misplaced modifiers, Punctuation Critical reading: The questions asked in this section are based on either short passage reading or long passage reading. It essentially tests a candidate’s vocabulary. Mathematics: This section includes questions on arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability. Besides, the syllabus includes mean, median and mode, ratios, direct and indirect variation. The total duration of the test is 3 hours 45 minutes. The maximum marks for this paper is 2400 (800 of each section). SAT subjects test- In this test the candidate has to choose a specific subject. Literature Biology/EM German Italian U.S. History Chemistry German with Listening Latin World History Physics Spanish Chinese with Listening The duration for the exam is 1 hour.
