Hy Guy’s I have done my BCA with good percentage of marks and now I am looking for the MCA and for that reason I am taking part in the NIMCET 2012 but I have no idea about its course material so can you give me the syllabus of NIMCET MCA 2012?

The NIMCET is as national level institute that conducts for the MCA course for taking admission at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the year 2013-14 is be based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2013 Only. NIMCET 2013 Here I am giving the detailed information of the NIMCET 2013: Eligibility: The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree( Full time 3 yrs) with minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST) in intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics. The candidates should have passed bachelor's degree with Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, and Business Statistics from any recognised University. Application procedure: The candidates can apply for NIMCET 2013 Entrance exam through online mode from NIMCET Official website. The online application form may be available in 2nd week of February, 2013. Test centres: Here is the list of the NIMCET test centres: NIT Agartala MNNIT Allahabad MANIT Bhopal NIT Calicut NIT Durgapur NIT Hamirpur MNIT Jaipur NIT Jalandhar NIT Jamshedpur NIT Kurukshetra NIT Patna Test pattern: The test pattern is the NIMCET is as follows: The NIMCET-2013 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects: Mathematics 50 questions Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 40 questions Computer Awareness 10 questions General English 20 questions Syllabus: Here I am providing the NIMCET syllabus: Mathematics: (50questions) Set Theory: Concepts of sets – Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions Algebra: Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices. Coordinate Geometry: Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola. Calculus: Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of functions by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: (40 questions) The questions in this section will cover logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage. Computer Awareness: (10 questions) Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and back-up devices. Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams. General English: (20 questions) Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidates’ general understanding of the English language.
