When will SSC conduct examination for the post of Statistical Investigators Grade IV in 2012? Please suggest me some books for preparation of this exam? Statistical Investigator Grade – II Post is one of the rewarding Central Government Jobs that come under the umbrella of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Jobs. Every year SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam offering various Job Posts under different Ministries and Departments. If one is selected for the post one would become Junior Statistical Officers (JSO) of Group ‘B’ (Central Civil Service, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS) Cadre under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. The position of JSO is offered under the Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS) Cadre and is an entry level position for junior officers. Promotion policy is designed on the basis of seniority and experience. It takes a considerable amount of time, generally around 5 to 8 year, for Statistical Investigators to get promoted to Senior Statistical Officer (Group B - Gazetted) position.
