Sir I want to apply for the Osmania PhD Entrance so please can you give me the required eligibility for Osmania PhD Entrance?

As per your demand I am giving Eligibility for PhD from Osmania University:-

A candidate is eligible for registration/admission to Ph.D. course in a subject, if he/she

Holds a Mater’s degree in the concerned subject or in an allied subject (approved by Osmania University) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate In case of students belonging to SC and ST category, the aggregate shall be 50% marks AND

Holds M. Phil Degree in the concerned subject or in an allied subject (approved by Osmania University)
OR
Is qualified in the UGCCSIR/ NET GATE examination or SLET examination of Government of Andhra Pradesh, or awarded a Research Fellowship by UGC/CSIR/Government Organization.
OR
Has published, as the first author, at least two research papers in the broad area of research in standard journals recognized by the University

Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 22 June 2012 so you can try next time.

Please tell me of the entrance test of the Osmania university for the course of PHD?

The Osmania University provides the course of the phd in the following fields namely-

Faculties of Arts,
Commerce,
Management,
Education,
Law,
Social Sciences,
Oriental Languages,
Science,
Technology,
Pharmacy,
Engineering,
Informatics.

In all the above Faculties a candidate is eligible fro the admission into PhD course in a subject, if he/she has obtained a Post-Graduate Degree, from a recognized University or a Post Graduate Degree through Distance education mode from a recognized University in the country and that is approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi

However the candidates have to appear in the Ph.D. Eligibility test in the subject in
which they wishes to pursue Ph.D.

The general pattern of the eligibility test is as follows:

Maximum marks for eligibility test : 100

Nature of test: Objective type with multiple choice questions

Syllabus for entrance test: P.G. syllabus of the Department as approved by the Board of Studies of the Department.
