MBBS At SMU

I am interested in the field of medical line and planning to pursue MBBS degree from Sikkim Manipal University (SMU). Will you tell what the SMU MBBS Eligibility Criteria to apply for admission also provide fees for MBBS at SMU university also provide university address?

Sikkim Manipal University, commonly known as SMU has conducts an entrance examination for admissions to five and a half year undergraduate MBBS programme in the university. There are 50 MBBS seats in the university.

SMU MBBS Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

All candidates must be 17 years of age

To be eligible for admission to MBBS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent).

In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio- technology has taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% from the recognized boards.

In addition, must have come in the merit list of Under Graduate Entrance Test-1 (UGET-1) conducted by SMU.
