SSC JE Eligibility

Candidates should posses a degree/diploma in Engineering from an institute recognised by the state or centre.

Age limit:

Applicants should be within the age group of 18-32 years

Nationality:

Only a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 to settle in India and people of Indian Origin who migrated to from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India.

SSC JE Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of SSC CHSL comprises two parts – computer based test (Objective test), descriptive test All the candidates participating in the recruitment process will have to qualify both the stages as per the minimum qualifying standards to be shortlisted for final appointment.

Candidates who qualify the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be called for the descriptive test.

Final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II).

Allotment of candidates to the different (user) departments will be made on the basis of merit.
