The Division of Life Science at Hong Kong University Of Science And Technology HKUST offers Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (BISC) program.

Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (BISC)

The BISC program will provide students with a broad contemporary knowledge covering the major themes in Life Science, from biomolecules through to organisms and environmental biology.

The program involves relatively little training in laboratory techniques although greater exposure is possible via elective courses. Recent technological advances along with increased awareness of healthcare, environmental and educational issues have significantly expanded career opportunities for Life Science graduates beyond purely science.

Flexibility of the BISC program will also allow for students to broaden their skill base via double major or minor programs (in Social Sciences, Humanities or Business).

Qualifications and Requirements:

International Qualifications-

SAT/AP, GCEAL/IAL, IB or other qualifications.

American Patterned System (SAT/AP): SAT total score of 1290 or above or SAT Reasoning Test with a combined score of 1800 or above (Pre-March 2016, in one sitting) or ACT Plus Writing with composite score of 27 or above, and with three SAT Subject Tests, each with a minimum score of 600 or with Advanced Placement in three subjects, each with a minimum score of 3

British Patterned System (GCEAL/IAL): At least 3 Passes in AL subjects

International Baccalaureate (IB): Completion of IB Diploma

JUPAS-

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)

Minimum Level Requirement is 3322+33* (English Language – 3, Chinese Language – 3, Mathematics Compulsory – 2, Liberal Studies – 2, Elective 1 – 3, Elective 2 or M1/M2 – 3)
