I am seeking admission to the MTech program of the Thapar university can you please guide me?

The Thapar university offers the program of M.Tech under the two categories –

Regular
Part time.

Eligibility to take admissions to course –

Admission to all the ME/MTech programmes at the university shall be made on the basis of valid GATE Score in respective discipline in which the candidate wants to pursue the course.

First preference while giving admissions to the course will be given to those who have qualified GATE candidates.

After offering seats to the GATE qualified candidates, if seats remain vacant (if any), than the admission will be made on the merit of the entrance test to be conducted by the University across India and only those candidates who shall be having minimum 20% (15% for SC/ST) in the entrance test shall only be considered for admission.

The university offers the Mtech program in the following fields-

Biotechnology.

Metallurgical & Materials Engineering.

Environmental Science & Technology.

VLSI Design.

Chemical Engineering.

Computer Applications.

Industrial Pollution and Abatement.

Time of the course –
The normal duration of programme leading to the ME/MTech degree shall be four semesters for regular students and six semesters for part-time students,

Date as per the last year admissions to the university-

Last date for receipt of completed application forms. June 10, 2013

Date of Entrance test to be conducted by TU ONLINE Entrance test June 26 – 30,2013

Display of result of Entrance Test July 08,2013

For GATE Qualified candidates:

1 Interview in respective Departments/School June 18, 2013 2

Deposit of fee June 18-20, 2013
