The Department of Educational Technology (DET) was established in 1973 as a department of Audio-Visual Education. DET conducted various types of training programmes and workshops for teachers / trainers, developed teaching aids, learning material, conducted research in education with special reference to Educational Technology, collaborated with the distance and Open learning movement in SNDTWU as well as at National level.
