I want to do M.Tech. from either IIT or IISC Bangalore. Please guide me what are process to apply for M.Tech. in both the institutes for 2012 academic year? What are the important date schedule regarding application and exam?

For applying for M.TECH, candidates must have done BE / B Tech or an equivalent degree and should have a valid GATE score card from the GATE paper which corresponds to their branch in the qualifying examination.

IIT Bangalore M.Tech. 2012 :

Eligibility: First-class four-year bachelor's degree in engineering (i.e. B.E., B.Tech., or equivalent)/ MSc with first class in any of the physical sciences/ an MCA degree with first class/ Final-year students expecting to graduate by August 2012.
First class or equivalent is required in 10th and 12th (or equivalent) grades as well.

IISC Bangalore M.Tech.:

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of Engineering/Technology; or Master's degree in Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Instrumentation, Electronics or Master's in Computer Application with a minimum of second class in the qualifying degree with valid GATE score.

How to Apply: The candidate has to fill in the online application form and submit the printed version on or before March 15, 2012. Printed version of the online application form should be sent to the Assistant Registrar, Admissions Unit, IISc, Bangalore-560012.
