The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria was set up by the Federal Government, through Decree No.39 of 1973, now ASCON Act, Cap. 6, Vol. 1 LFN 1990. In ASCON, it perceives the basic requirement for viable pioneers at all levels of associations in the nation. As a component of its recharged push to proceed to help and improve the limit and capacity of these associations, we have set up measures to be a focal point of brilliance for the advancement of initiative in both open and private segment associations.

The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) has three unmistakable territories of order and these are:

(1) Training

(2) Research and

(3) Consultancy

The exercises of Research and Consultancy are facilitated by the Department of Research and Consultancy.
