Biotechnology Ph. D Programme Eligibility

I want to do PhD in Bio, but have no idea about the eligibility required for doing that course, so please provide me the eligibility required for taking admission in thois course?

The eligibility required for taking admission in the PhD Biotechnology course is as follows:

PhD in Biotechnology eligibility:
The candidate should have 1st Class or above with 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average in all examinations: 10th, 12th, Degree and Post-graduate course.

The candidate should hold a valid Fellowship from UGC/ CSIR/ ICMR/ KSCSTE/ Category A of DBT, NET qualification is not sufficient.

Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for admission in Ph. D in Biotechnology programme offered by Reva University?

The Reva University has well experienced faculty members to guide candidates to pursue research leading to Doctoral degree in various disciplines. Ph. D programme shall be for a minimum duration of 3 years, including course work.

The University will conduct Entrance Test of 100 marks with 3 hours duration. Candidates securing at least 50 marks out of 100 in the Entrance Test shall be declared as eligible for interview / viva voce.


Eligibility


One must have Master degree or a professional degree equivalent to the Master degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.


One who has cleared the M. Phil. course work with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completed the M. Phil. Degree;


A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for one belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates;


The eligibility marks of 55% or an equivalent grade and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedure; and.


One possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M. Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
