JKCET (Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) for all those candidates who are seeking admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by different institutes in Jammu and Kashmir. One must have passed class 12 or any other equivalent exam from a recognized statutory Board/ University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects. One belonging from General category with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in class 12 or any other equivalent exam, whereas 40% aggregate marks is required by reserved categories. One appearing for class 12 or any other equivalent exam in 2019 can also apply for JKCET 2019. One applying under TFW category will be considered as open merit candidates. One must be at least 17 years old on December 31 of the relevant year (2019) JKCET Exam Pattern 2019 Mode of examination Offline (Pen and Paper based) Total number of sections 3 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Total number of questions 180 (60 in each section) Duration of exam 3 hours (Physics & Chemistry- 2 hours, Mathematics 1 hour) Type of questions Multiple choice questions (MCQs) Total marks 180 (1 for every correct answer) Negative marking 0.25 for every incorrect answer
