In 1991, Algemene Bank Nederland (ABN) and AMRO Bank (itself the result of a merger of the Amsterdamsche Bank and the Rotterdamsche Bank in 1960s) agreed to merge to create the original ABN AMRO. By 2007, ABN AMRO was the second-largest bank in the Netherlands and the eighth-largest in Europe by assets.

Loans

Privélimiet Plus


• The Privélimiet Plus (Personal Credit Line Plus) allows having a negative balance on bank account. This way, one will always have money available in bank account.
• Being overdrawn, up to a sensible limit. This overdraft limit is set at a minimum of €500 and a maximum equal to one’s net income.
• One will only pay interest on the overdrawn amount.
• Easily check account balance using the balance app.

Flexibel Krediet
• With Flexibel Krediet (Flexible Credit) one will always have funds at disposal for unexpected expenses. The amount which can spend depends on personal situation. Together Bank will negotiate a suitable limit for one. This amount will be between € 2,500 and € 75,000.
• Always have extra funds available in a separate account.
• Free debit card with which can make payments and withdraw money worldwide.
• The repayments make can be withdrawn again later.

Persoonlijke Lening

• A Persoonlijke Lening (Personal Loan) is ideal if need a large, one-time sum of money. The amount can borrow depends on personal situation. This amount will be between € 2,500 and € 75,000.
• The interest rate depends on personal situation.
• One will receive the amount in one lump sum.
• One will pay back a fixed amount each month.
