• Recipient of HONORARY DAAD ADVISOR AWARD (2006-2009) for outstanding commitment and leadership in promoting Indo-German Relations in Education from the President, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Bonn on March 1, 2006.
• For the project carried-out on bulk utilization of fly ash in India, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has awarded Best Technology prize for the year 1999. The award was conferred on May 11, 2000 for the being the chief core member of the project and for the significant contribution in the development of fly ash technology.
• Recipient of Fellow Scholarship award for 1998 Warsaw International conference on Environmental Geotechnics, Warsaw, Poland organised by US Environmental Protection Agency
• Recipient of Student Scholarship award for 1997 International Containment Technology Conference and Exhibition, Florida organised by US department of Energy, DuPont Company and US Environmental Protection Agency.
• Recipient of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship for doing advanced research work in Germany. I am the first among the thirteen candidates selected in 1994 for this scholarship from the research labs under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India.
