NIT Durgapur or The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur that was formerly known as the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as one of the eight such colleges that are aimed for engineering education in the country.

Eligibility for the programme-

M. Tech./ M.E./ M. Arch/ M. Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate marks in total in the M.E./ M. Tech. level from a recognized university.

A valid GATE score/ NET qualification as per MHRD norm for eligibility of fellowship is mandatory for candidates not having M. Tech./ M. E. degree.

Registration Fee – Rs 2000.

PhD Thesis Submission Fee – Rs 6000.
