Can you tell me if IITK (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur) accept Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE) score for admission in its B. Tech Program?

The objectives of the undergraduate programmes offered by IITK (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur) are:

 to provide the highest level of education in technology and science and to produce competent, creative and imaginative engineers and scientists,
 to promote a spirit of free and objective enquiry in different fields of knowledge,
 to make a significant contribution towards the development of skilled technical manpower, and
 To create an intellectual pool to meet the growing demands of the nation.

The undergraduate programmes are designed to achieve these objectives and to inculcate in the student concepts and intellectual skills, courage and integrity, awareness of and sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of the society.

The institute offers the following Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) programmes:

Admission

Admission to the B. Tech Program is made once a year in July through Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main) and Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE- Advanced) conducted on an All India level in April and May by CBSE and IITs respectively.

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent.
