STEM remains for science, innovation, designing, and arithmetic. The BSA's STEM activity gives Scouts a chance to investigate STEM-related ideas and figure out how STEM information is utilized as a part of regular day to day existence and in the expert world. The point is to open youth to new open doors and help construct enthusiasm for the STEM-related vocations that are so essential to our future economy.

To bolster this investigation of STEM, the BSA appeared the Nova and Supernova Awards program, an activity that advances an eagerness towards STEM and offers acknowledgment and headway for Scouts consumed in STEM learning.

Spring and Fall STEM Events

Forthcoming Council Events :

SCOUTBOTICS

Is returning on Saturday, March 25 at Saint Louis University. For Boy Scouts, Explorers, Venturers, and youth age 11-17 to configuration, program, and race your own robot. This occasion will include open doors for new youth to take an interest and gain the Robotics Merit Badge, those Scouts that have earned the legitimacy identification, and to those adolescent who were finally year's occasions. Robot on!

Cub Scout STEM Day

On April 1, 2017, bring your Tigers, Bears, Wolves, and Webelos to Vatterott College – NorthPark for a STEM-filled day of fun and Adventures! Frantic Science will give an amazing instructive program. Tigers will acquire the Curiosity Intrigue and Magical Mysteries circle, Wolves will win the Air of the Wolf circle, Bears will procure the Make it Move circle, and Webelos will gain (a large portion of) the Earth Rocks circle. For our Illinois Scouts, Cub Scout STEM Day East will be April 8, 2017 at Vatterott College – Fairview Heights!

Boy Scout NOVA Day

On April 1, spend the day at the St. Louis Science Center, acquiring your Let it Grow NOVA and Animal Science Merit Badge! Scouts will appreciate working, making, and critical thinking as they find out about agribusiness and plant and creature science. Enrollment is open at this point!

Road Trip to Achievement with Junior Achievement – Cub Scout Workshop

With the assistance of Junior Achievement staff, their program upgrades, and their offices, this workshop on April 29 is centered around acquiring particular Adventure Belt Loops inside the Cub Scout progression program. Tigers earned the Team Tiger circle, Wolves earned the Adventure in Coins circle, Bears earned the Grin and Bear It circle, and Webelos earned the Arrow of Light Adventure: Building a Better World stick.
