The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research was founded by the eminent Indian Scientist Dr. Homi Bhabha in June 1945 with the active help of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. In year 1962, the Institute shifted its base to Colaba campus located on the shores of the Arabian Sea.

Following are the schools of the institute –
The School of Mathematics, the School of Natural Sciences and The School of Technology & Computer Science.

This institute also has its campus in the city of Hyderabad.

Regarding the summer training programme here are the details.

This institute conducts annual summer programmes in which talented students are introduced to research activities in the field of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics.

In order to apply to the institute you need to apply online.

You have to submit application form along with the photo and sign of the candidates.

Also you have to write an essay in 100words that deals with the topic why you are interested in the most preferred field of your study.

For all other subjects - January 21, 2014
