Bank of India accepts that it is its principal obligation to contribute towards affecting the lives of different partners like customers, workers, shareholders, groups also, environment in a positive way through all parts of its operations, in this way serving the enthusiasm of the general public on the loose. Bank of India has an approach to give back a part of what it has gotten from the environment and society also, is contributing/taking an interest on an economical premise in exercises and ventures for encouraging the same. Some of the CSR initiatives already undertaken by the Bank are providing – Solar street lights and Hand pump sets in Rural areas. Rain water harvesting mechanism/ equipments agriculture/drinking water /development of the area. Ambulances to Hospitals catering to economically challenged sections of the society, rural areas, etc. Ultra-modern medical equipments to Family Planning Centres and other hospitals. Wheel chairs to physically challenged sportspersons and others. Gensets for running equipments in hospitals for the Cancer patients. Construction of classrooms for the economically challenged students of the society. Support to orphaned / blindstudents requirements. Vehicles for institutions providing food / mid-day meal to government /local bodies schools catering to poorer sections of the society. Running Projects also include: Credit Counseling Centres –‘Abhay’ in 6 cities 54 Financial Literacy Centres (FLC); 42 RUDSETIs/RSETIs for imparting vocational training in Rural areas.
