National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation(NSKFDC), an entirely claimed Govt. of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (M/o SJ&E) was set up on 24th January 1997 as a Company "Not for Profit" under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Loan Schemes of NSKFDC

NSKFDC has various Loan & Non-loan schemes to provide economic and other assistance to the beneficiaries under Agriculture & Allied, Small Industries, Sanitary Based Equipments & Service including Transport Sectors.

i) Term Loan (TL)
Under this scheme, term loans are extended through State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) to the target group. Maximum loan limit is Rs.15.00 lac per unit for any viable income generating schemes including sanitation related activities.

ii) Micro Credit Finance (MCF)
Loans to target groups through State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) are provided for projects costing upto Rs.5.00 lac for a group of 10 borrowers restricted to Rs.50,000/- per borrower as well as Rs.50,000/- on individual basis.

iii) Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY)
Loan under this scheme is provided to Safai Karamchari and Scavenger and their dependants for projects with a maximum project cost up to Rs.50,000/- for small and petty trade/business and sundry income generating activities.

iv) Mahila Adhikarita Yojana (MAY)
Term loan assistance under Mahila Adhikarita Yojana for engaging in small and petty trade/business and sundry income generating activities is provided to the SCAs for projects costing upto Rs.75000/- and is provided to Safai Karamchari and Scavenger women and their dependent daughters.

v) Education Loan
Education Loan is being extended to the students from the community of Safai Karamcharis\Manual Scavengers & their dependents for pursuing professional or technical education and also for higher study in Engineering, Medical, Management, Law, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Pathology, Nursing, Diploma in Hotel Management & Tourism, Geriatric Care & Academic courses at Graduate & Post Graduate level like Bachelor of Education, Ph. D., Language Courses, BCA, MCA, Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication etc.

vi) Swachhta Udyami Yojana
Term loans are extended under the scheme to the target group for Construction,Operation and Maintenance of Pay and Use Community toilets in Public Private Partnership (PPP) Mode upto a maximum of Rs. 25 lacs and for Procurement & Operation of Sanitation related Vehicles upto a maximum of Rs. 15 lacs.

vii) Sanitary Marts Scheme
Sanitary Mart is a one-stop-shop for all things for sanitation and hygiene. It is a shopping place where the sanitary needs of the common man could be met. It serves both as a shop and as a service centre.

Step by step instructions to Apply

The credit applications are put together by the recipients to the District Offices of State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) of NSKFDC/Branches of Regional Rural Banks(RRBs)/Nationalized Bank. The District Offices of SCAs/Branches of RRBs/Nationalized Banks send these applications after examination to their Head Offices. The practicality of the venture proposition are being assessed by the SCAs/RRBs/Nationalized Banks and the feasible tasks are sent to NSKFDC alongside their suggestions.

The said extend recommendations are additionally assessed by the Project Appraisal Committee of NSKFDC and the proposition which are observed to be all together, are set before the Board of Directors for thought and authorize. After endorse by the Board of Directors of NSKFDC, the authorize letters, additionally called Letter of Intents, are issued to the SCAs/RRBs/Nationalized for acknowledgment.
