The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is a public business school located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was the second Indian Institute of Management to be established, after IIM Calcutta.


About the Start Up Weekend

Startup Weekend is a not for profit global community of 100,000 entrepreneurs, techies and designers spread over local entrepreneurial eco-systems in over 100 countries. After being in every major city in the World, we are excited to bring this to Ahmedabad.


Participation in the Start Up Event

The participants are a mix of experienced professionals and students with more participants from work experience background. Entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds like management, technology and design will participate in the event. "People who are looking to expand their team to build their start-ups can find people with complementary skills.


Team Work

After the formation of the teams, they work on their ideas and create a product prototype, a marketing plan and financial forecasting.

They work on their plan throughout the weekend and are mentored by successful entrepreneurs, venture incubation experts, CEOs and those with prior track record of training professionals at institutes such as IIM-A. The final plan will be presented before investors for funding.
